Orangutans are among the most intelligent of the primates. Living mostly in the treetops of Borneo and Sumatra, they exhibit remarkable problem-solving skills and even use tools in their daily lives. These solitary creatures have a deep bond with their offspring, with mothers caring for their young for many years. Sadly, deforestation and habitat destruction threaten their existence, making conservation efforts critical to their survival.
