Velociraptor dinosaurs were small but deadly predators that roamed the Earth during the Late Cretaceous period, about 75 million years ago. Unlike the oversized creatures often shown in movies, real velociraptors were about the size of a turkey, standing roughly two feet tall and measuring up to six feet long, with most of that length being their tail.

What made them truly remarkable were their sharp claws, especially the curved “killing claw” on each foot, which they used to grasp and take down prey. Evidence suggests that velociraptors may have hunted in packs, making them even more formidable. Recent fossil discoveries also reveal that they had feathers, bridging the gap between dinosaurs and modern birds. Velociraptors remain one of the most fascinating dinosaurs, combining agility, intelligence, and evolutionary significance.
